Our History and Impact

The Camino Real Ballet Folklorico was founded in 2015 under the direction of Maestra Alice Arriaga Medina. CRBF home is at EP Center of Visual and Performing Arts. The group’s goal is to help children learn and grow together through dance. Camino Real BF has already made a name for itself by performing at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, City Sponsored events in El Paso and Disney World in 2018.  All of the dresses and accessories are carefully designed and custom made following the traditional Mexican Folklorico guidelines.  CRBF looks forward to the future and educating future dancers on Mexican folklorico.

Maestra Alice Arriaga-Medina started her dance career here in El Paso. She is a graduate of the Bellas Artes de La Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua,Chihuahua, MX, where she studied to be a Folklorico Teacher as well as toured with the dance company all over Mexico. She then moved to Dallas, where she had a successful Dance Group and Studio for 15+ years. Bringing her experience back with her to El Paso, she wishes and hopes to keep spreading the Mexican culture and traditions to future generations.

The Camino Real Ballet Folklorico represented the City of El Paso at this year's State Fair of Texas in dallas, TX.  We performed Saturday October 6 at the Women's Musuem Stage (Outside) and also on the stag located inside the museum.
